In matters of the Bayonet, I have played with toy soldiers for nearly 40 years. First with the jumbo bags of plastic army men, followed by Airfix and ESCI, and then quickly replaced with the metal sculpts from Jacobite Miniatures before finally, increasing detail and differing manufacturers saw the lead-pile take on a life of it’s own as I vacillated* between scales and periods.
Along the way, at some point I started a blog, and then some time later another and another, and now maybe finally a fourth where I can scrape the web of my miniature musings and assemble them all in one place, assuming I can find them or even recall their former titles.
As for matters of the Barrel, whether it be powder, gunnery, or imbibing, my tastes tend vacillate less as the tipple of choice at the moment is Bourbon, though it would be rude to not also find time to enjoy Whisky and its slightly softer cousin Whiskey.
As for other matters, I must confess I’m just making it up as I go along.
* Being a period butterfly is something I have just come to accept as a Historical Miniature Wargamer, and while I have tried (honestly) to rationalise the "lead-pile" may times over the years I have come to realise that it is a Sisyphean Task beyond my ability.
